If you are searching for a cheap mobile phone then keep reading…this could be just the phone for you…

With much talk of a credit crunch, mobile phone providers seem to be offering as many value phones for sale in 2009 as they are top of the range Smartphones.

One such example is the Samsung C300, available for just £15 on prepay with Virgin.

When launched in 2006, the C300 was surrounded in hype. It is a slick and sleek sliding phone, with a bright and clear colour screen.

This deal with Virgin is sure to be a hit for people who are on a tight budget, or for those who simply need a phone to talk and text.

The handset does not carry and MP3 player, or a camera, but the phone is more than capable at allowing the user to talk and text happily. It is easy to use, and at such a bargain price is sure to be the same hit in 2009 as it was at its launch in 2006.

If you are looking for a well-specced, mid range mobile phone then you should not let the new Nokia 6650 slip under your radar. Available exclusively with T-Mobile this well priced handset will not break the bank and is well worth a look.
The device is a clamshell handset, and is finished in brushed metal. Its slim profile and sturdy casing make it feel great in the hand. It also has a dual fascia and a subtle touch screen function on the outer display. Other superb features include an etched keypad with no movable keys, a high-resolution display, GPS for satellite assisted navigation and HSDPA for speedy web browsing. Although the colour screen isn’t one of the largest available it is bright and clear.

Being exclusive to T-Mobile means the device comes with pre-loaded direct access to the operator’s favourites, such as Web’n’Walk and Mobile Jukebox.

This is a smart, solid handset, which has been nicely constructed by Nokia. Offering superb value for money, this clamshell could earn itself a mass following.

LG Launches its First Touch-Screen, QWERTY Mobile – The KS360

LG is appearing to be embracing the touch-screen mobile phone more than any of the other manufacturers, with handsets such as the LG Viewty and the LG Renoir KC910. The newest member of its touch-screen family, the KS360, has a feature that the other LG models do not possess, namely a full, slide out QWERTY keyboard.

This handset is clearly being targeted at the texting generation, rather than the business user and is available in a choice of vibrant and funky contrasting colours such as black and red, white and soft pink and titanium and bright blue.

Impressively, this handset remains slim and lightweight, despite its QWERTY keyboard, so on the face of it the KS360 appears to be a triumph for LG.

However, there is a negative. Not only does this handset not possess HSDPA but it is also without 3G. This is disappointing for a newly launched phone and may be a big disappointment for its target customer. The speed to load webpages is frustratingly slow, downloads and even worse. For a web browsing experience this handset takes you back to the dark ages!

The 2MP camera could also be improved. Whilst being functional it will not blow you way. Oddly when you use the camera there is no zoom. However switch to video and zoom becomes available. There is also no flash.

LG have therefore made a phone of contrasts. Its touch-screen and QWERT keyboard make it a groundbreaking handset for LG, but it is sadly let down by the lack of 3G, which this phone is crying out for. This handset may therefore only appeal to texters who are not really interested in web browsing.

Looking for a Stunning Handset? Consider the Nokia 8600 Luna

If you need a mobile handset to be a real head turner, something to stand out from the crowd and definitely not something all your mates own then the Nokia 8600 Luna may be the perfect choice.

The 8600 Luna is a sliding handset, made from top quality materials and the result on the outside is near to mobile phone perfection!

But how does it perform on the inside…?

One of its best features is a superb music player. The 2MP camera is adequate, but not the best available from Nokia. A 128MB internal memory could be bigger, but will probably offer enough space for most users.

So with the Luna, its key strength is its appearance. It is so stunning, and technological short fallings can be forgiven. A real classy handset!
